Third Party Content

WhatsOnWhen has integrated a wide range of third party content providers into its hosted solutions, and linked that content into our existing worldwide location hierarchy, allowing third party content to be seen alongside event content and others; for example, an event in Brisbane can show the weather at that location, as well as provide navigation into any of the miniguide, Lonely Planet, or other horizontally integrated content groups. We are flexible, and always willing to consider the integration of additional third-party content to provide a better aggregated system for your site. Our third-party content capabilities currently include content from:

  • Lonely Planet;
  • Rough Guide;
  • Columbus;
  • Intellicast weather forecasts for thousands of worldwide locations, updated every three hours;
  • Intellicast current conditions for thousands of worldwide locations, updated every half hour.

We are always happy to build and integrate feeds from our clients into our hosted solutions platform; today, we provide built-in support for integration of hotel information (with geocoding in some areas, allowing us to report the nearest hotel to a given event or location), flight data, and others.

In addition, we are happy to provide custom integration solutions for our hosted platform to support deep linking of your own content into ours.

Intellicast feeds can only be provided as a part of the hosted platform/environment, and are not available in XML form; to retrieve Intellicast feeds in XML, please contact them directly.
