Whatsonwhen XML subscriptions require, aside from licensing and sales issues, a few extra things on the part of our clients;

  • A DNS/Domain name

    Customers who wish to use Whatsonwhen services must provide us the DNS name they will use to access the service; this may be, for example, any subdomain of your site that you wish to create, such as: wowxml.yourcompanyname.com.

  • IP Addresses for all machines permitted ot use the service;

    Customers of the Whatsonwhen XML feed must provide us with a complete list of all IP addresses they will use to access the service remotely. This should be restricted tho those development, staging, and live systems responsible for feed processing. Redistribution of this information is expressly prohibited unless otherwise agreed as a part of contracting, and systems which the client does not own should not be included in the list of sites which will be allowed to access the feed.

Without the above list being satisfied we will not be able to push a customers feed to our live servers.
